Kevin Walsh

Kevin has worked with grassroots organizations and non-profits for a dozen years focusing on communications. Much of that work has focused on food and agriculture, including running a network of collective community gardens organizations in Montreal, and creating popular education tools about the food system with groups such as Food Not Lawns and the Beehive Collective.
He joined CivicActions in winter 2008 after obtaining a Masters degree in Rural Sociology at University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he researched the politics of Fair Trade and Organic certification while working at the Havens Center for the Study of Social Structure and Social Change.
Kevin works as an Application Specialist on a variety of projects including Women's Funding Network, ACLU.tv, and AlGore.org.
When he's not working, Kevin can be found in proximity of lots of bicycles, and people interested in food justice issues--currently in Paris, France.
