I just received this moving note from Sunil Paul, a friend, co-Founder and National co-Chair Cleantech and Green Business for Obama. He's been on the ground in Florida, helping to get out the vote.

Today I saw things I will never forget for as long as I live.

I saw mothers standing the rain for hours, with babies in their arms, waiting to vote.

I saw thousands of people waiting in lines in the heat of the Florida sun and under the drench of tropical downpours.

I recently submitted a proposal for a session at next year's South by Southwest Conference titled "Flexible Technology Strategies for NGOs and Social Ventures". There are hundreds of great topics that have been submitted this year, and one of the methods that the organizers will use to pick the topics is to open them up to public vote. Mitchell said "It's starting to open up quite a bit. There's more nonsense out there about this than there is real knowledge, but it is a real phenomena.

I just received my first copy of the quarterly Stanford Social Innovation Review, flipped through it and read an amazing case study called "Taking Stock of Venture Philanthropy". It was such a great article that I instantly thought that I should get a subscription for all of our clients.

At last, some mainstream coverage of our financial system that is worthy of attention. Marketwatch - Paul Farrell does a nice job of covering Kevin Phillip's new book "Bad Money: Reckless Finance, Failed Politics & the Crisis of American Capitalism."

I had a great meeting this morning with a couple of my partners and Guy Sengstock. During the meeting, one of the things that we discussed was taking 100% responsibility for how a message (or communication) is received.

I've been thinking about it all day. As I was looking around for quotes on the subject tonight (which I'm still searching for), I ran across this great webpage on communication styles from the Pegasus NLP Newsletter. Here's a great excerpt:
