TextExpander has saved me countless keystrokes with customized shortcuts for the text I type the most.

On saturday I attended RootsCampNYC, and unconference dedicated to debriefing on the elections with a decidedly technological flavor. I shot some video with a Samsung SC-210 digital video camera (that I am returning tomorrow because it doesn't play well with Mac despite what the box says.) This is the latest in my series of "Work From Anywhere" videos. I've been traveling a bunch, and will soon be adding some more videos. The hunt for open wifi is different wherever I go. In this video, I had just finished a training with a client over VOIP on the wifi signal provided by the Hollyhock Retreat Center at the Web Of Change conference.

I took a minute to speak with Matt Thompson, a documentary film maker and indie journalist who recently complete BEst War Evern. Matt and I met last year at Web Of Change when he was still working with Independant World Television (which became "Real News").

Arthur Foelsche and I take a few minutes away from the rest of the CivicActions June Off Site in Geyserville, CA to troubleshoot and fix a mail issue for a client. Geyserville is a rather small town, no internet cafes. So we made due, after about 10 minutes of wardriving, we found an open wireless signal near the railroad tracks.

Recently, a client of ours needed mass mailing capability. Nothing
fancy, just the ability to send original messages and existing nodes to
a large list of email addresses. No token replacement, no click through
tracking. Just get the word out.

We contracted with Allie Micka to create a suite of modules that would
handle not only this discrete needs but other sending needs of this, and
other clients.
